AUTO UPLINK POWER CONTROLLER

DESCRIPTION

The Auto Uplink Power Controller is used to adjust the uplink power in regarding with the weather attenuation experience in the downlink. In general, during clear sky conditions as the downlink power will not get degraded there will be no amplification or attenuation in the uplink path. Once during spoiled weather conditions like heavy raining, the downlink level will get degraded. Based on the level of degradation the uplink power will be amplified. This also has a failsafe feature which will bypass the input to output during power supply problems.

Specifications:

  • Input frequency          : IF (70 MHz), L-Band(950 to 2150 MHz)
  • Output frequency       : same as input frequency
  • Input Level Range      : -10 to -50 dBm
  • Attenuation range      : 20 dB standard
  • Step size                   : 0.5 dB standard
  • Insertion loss             : better than 1.3 dB
  • Input type                  : Analog, Digital
  • Analog Voltage         : 0 to 10 V
  • Digital input               : Eb/No through satellite modem
