Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO)
At the core of our Skill Development efforts is the RPTO: a fully equipped training and certification center to develop skilled drone pilots for critical sectors like agriculture, defense, infrastructure monitoring, and logistics.
Facilities & Resources:
- Smart classrooms with DGCA-authorized curriculum and AV tech
- Dedicated outdoor flying field (minimum 60×120 meters)
- Flight simulators and maintenance labs
- DGCA-certified instructors
- Drone fleet: multi-rotor and fixed-wing systems
- Online/offline certification and examination platforms
- Safety equipment, flight log systems, and cloud-based storage
Target Outcomes:
- Train and certify 100+ drone pilots annually

Drone Centre of Excellence (CoE)
In partnership with top universities and institutions, Planet Sigma is establishing a Drone Centre of Excellence (CoE) to serve as a national hub for UAV skilling, innovation, and research. With a planned investment of ₹1 crore, this multi-disciplinary facility brings together:
- A DGCA-certified Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO)
- An R&D-focused Drone Innovation Lab
- Hands-on, job-ready training courses
- Cross-sector collaboration between academia, defence, and industry

Aeromodelling Workshops
From passion to profession—Planet Sigma’s Aeromodelling Workshops offer an engaging gateway into aerospace, tailored for students, hobbyists, and aspiring engineers.
Crafted by UAV professionals who began as hobbyists themselves, these 2-day workshops combine creativity, STEM education, and flight experience. Participants learn to build and fly scaled aircraft using wood and composite materials—gaining insight into how aerodynamics and engineering come together.
Workshop Highlights:
Day 1:
- Introduction to Aeromodelling & Aerodynamics
- Fabrication of wings and fuselage
Day 2:
- Full assembly of model aircraft
- Live Air Show & Flight Testing
